It is reported that he was attempting to steal a ride when he missed his hold falling under the wheels of the train, being mangled so that he had to be burried on the right of way of the road. Bud Miller, also colored, of Covington, met the same fearful fate over on the Seaboard Road, being instantly killed while trying to steal a ride. No blame can be attached to these roads. Gilbert Henderson was a married man and has five small children, and if he had been at home looking after and taking care of them, he would not have met such a awful death.
