C. Cook made a flying trip to Jersey last Saturday on business. Mr. Gordon Reynolds, of Social Circle, visited friends in Wyatt Sunday. Miss Flaudie Knight, one of Jersey's fascinating beauties, spent Sunday here. Mrs. Eva Teagle, of Hoschton, visited relatives here last week as the guest of her father, Mr. Jno. R. Byrd. Rev. T. H. Burruss of Rutledge, preached a forcible sermon at the Baptist church here on Sunday the 15th inst. Miss Lizzie Cook, one of our beautiful young ladies, is spending a few days with her cousin, Miss Pearl Cook, near Covington. Messrs. Hancock, Jones and Burnette had better look sharp, or a certain young gent, who has just purchased a new buggy, will beat them out up in Walton. We have no deaths or marriages to report from this vicinity, but a considerable amount of courting is going on, and doubtless a marriages will have to be reported very soon.
