The bullet entered the right temple and ploughed itself through the brain. He lived for nearly two hours after the accident. The accident occurred in Jasper near the Newton county line and he was in company with several friends at the time. Mr. Kitchens was well known and popular. He was the son of Mr. Pate Kitchens of near Stewart. He is survived by a wife and one child and has a number of relatives.
