We fixed the cow gaps and went on to get to a bridge and they run up to cow gaps, stopped and took up rails behind them and put down and ran on and in a few minutes escaped. Those left at Limestone took to the block house there and formed a ring around the house, and we commenced driving them in but a few well directed shots from Jackson, cannon caused them to surrender.
