Robinson has the finest field of wheat in this section. ~Mr. Frank C. Davis says he will soon erect one of the handsomest residences between Covington and Indian Springs. ~Col. L. F. Stephenson has one of the finest 3 ½ rat terrier pups in the state. ~Peter Weaver, colored, had the misfortune to lose a fine mule by death one day recently. ~Miss Alice Stephenson one of Newton counties fairest daughters spent a day here last week. ~Mr. John McNair has discontinued railroading and gone to work on his farm. ~Mrs. Fannie Lummus, of Island Shoals, visited friends and relatives here last week. ~Rocky Plains is noted far and wide for its handsome ladies. All the old maids out here are beautiful and all the girls charming. ~Mrs. A. J. Webb and daughter, Miss Gussie visited relatives in Atlanta last week. They will spend part of the summer at Cumberland Island and other pleasure resorts on the Atlantic Coast.
