One Negro was killed, and a showman mortally wounded. The Company struck tents and left for Atlanta immediately. We will give the particulars in our next issue. MADISON AUDITOR, 21st inst. The “Auditor” is entitled to the thanks of our community. The statements are strictly correct, except the wounded showman and the Negro killed. That is to say, on the 20th, JOHN ROBINSON’S show was exhibited here. Persons who did not belong in Covington did drink some liquor, and some reckless shooting resulted in slightly wounding one Negro. No one was killed, neither were any of the showman hurt, and there, was no row between the showmen and any parties here. Friend Auditor, thee had better get thy Covington items from the ENTERPRISE, if thee would have the satisfaction of publishing the truth.
