S. Almand. ~Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Boyd left Tuesday for a visit to Jamestown and Washington. ~Mrs. J. C. Hill has been quite sick for several days. Trust she may soon recover. ~Mr. Bean Willingham and sister Miss Johnnie, attended camp meeting at Shingleroof Sunday. ~Rev. and Mrs. S. H. Dimon and daughter, Miss Lucille, are spending this week at Oak Hill. ~Miss Addie Belle Elliott leaves Saturday for Sparks, where she will attend school this term. ~Mr. and Mrs. Jeff T. Ramsey have moved to Covington, Mr. Ramsey will have charge of Farmer’s Warehouse there. ~We are glad to note the rapid improvement of Mr. Chester Smith, who broke his arm a few days ago while climbing from a barn. ~A very enjoyable time was had at an “all home” party at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Ramsey, on Thursday evening. Those present were: Mrs. C. D. Ramsey, Mrs. J. T. Ramsey, Misses Johnnie Willingham, Vera and Letha Cowan, Birdie Almand, Clemmie and Angie Boyd, Mary Dimon, Messrs. Dowman and John Almand, George and Ben Willingham, John Boyd, Olan Cowan, L. J. Laird, of Sheffield; John Ramsey, of Miami, Fla; J. T. Ramsey and C. D. Ramsey. LIBERTY ~Rev. J. C. Adams preached an interesting sermon here Sunday. A large crowd attended. ~Mr. Z. D. Kinnett visited relatives near Rocky Plains. ~Miss Myrtle Piper was the guest of Miss Claude Parker Saturday and Sunday. ~Mrs. T. A. Speer and Miss L. Wicks left Saturday for Newnan and Whitesburg, where they will be for several days, then they return to Dallas where Miss Wicks enters school. ~Mr. Plez McCart, of Almon, was visiting friends here Saturday and Sunday. ~Mr. G. W. Piper and family spent a short while at Rocky Plains last week. ~Mr. Willis Dorsey, two sisters, Pearl and Rubie, and Mr. Hugh Berry, of Princeton, visited Mr. J. T. Wicks family Sunday. ~Mr. Eddie Rainey, of Covington, spent a short while here Sunday. ~An ice cream supper was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Wicks Saturday evening. A large crowd attended and all seemed to enjoy themselves. ~Miss Ethel Piper is visiting Miss Cora McCart, at Almon this week. ~Miss Clyde Moore visited Misses Verdie and Katie Moore Sunday. FAIRVIEW ~Our prayer meeting at Mr. Warren Smith’s Sunday night was well attended and enjoyed by all present. These prayer meetings were organized about a year ago and we trust have been the means of much good.
