It was complimentary to Miss MINNIE V. CALLAWAY, of Lexington, and to the gentlemen who are boarding with Mrs. WELLS and their young lady friends. There were between fifteen and twenty couples present. The long tables in the dining room were weighted down with eatables suited to the taste of all and more. Sweet music, bright, happy faces, animated conversation, rich repartee and a little courting on the sly, were a few of the features of the occasion. It was near midnight when good-byes were said. May the home of our friend and neighbor be blessed with an abundance of all the good things in this life, and herself, her accomplished daughter and promising sons find joy and peace eternal in that higher and better life to come.
