Fred Foster, of Madison, and Judge Gleaton and Col. Barton, of Conyers, has been with us this week. ~Allen’s Minstrels will give two performances at Music Hall on Thursday and Friday evenings, Sept 19th and 20th. The party is composed of 13 performers, all being thorough musicians, vocalists, dancers and comedians, headed by the well known banjoist and musician, R. G. ALLEN. Reserved Seats 75 cents. For sale at Wright’s Drug Store. ~The ice cream and cake festival given at Brick Store, Thursday night, for the purpose of raising funds to purchase seats for Mount Pleasant Church, was a grand success. After the feast there was an impromptu entertainment gotten up and several interesting recitations delivered. Mr. JAMES G. PAINE, Misses GRAYS, Capt. GRAVES, Mrs. ANNA TAYLOR and others taking part in the pleasant exercises. Thanks were returned for the liberal support extended to the festival and the good behavior thereat.
