M. Connor, a young merchant doing business at Buck Creek, Ga., was struck over the head and killed Tuesday, by Thomas Beard, a young man living near the same place. Some time ago, the Jackson sub-alliance boycotted Conner for using jute bagging at his gin, and out of this the trouble originated.
