The territory is now being subdivided into enumeration districts, which will soon be completed, and then the matter of appointment of enumerators will be taken up. Newton County will have eight enumerators, and the entire 5th district 106. One enumerator will be appointed for each enumeration district, who must live in the district for which he is appointed. The subdivision of this county is as follows, beginning with No. 85 and running up to No. 92. NEWTON COUNTY No. 85 Gum Creek and Wyatt No. 86 Stansell’s and Oxford, including Oxford Town. No. 87 Brick Store and Newborn No. 88 Hays and Gaither’s No. 89 Brewer’s and Leguin No. 90 Rocky Plains and Down’s, (Oak Hill) No. 91 Cedar Shoals, including Porterdale Town.
