J. A. COWAN and THOS. J. SPEER, members of the county board of education, the public schools of Covington will only receive money from the state in proportion to the school attendance, as heretofore. The town schools, under the new law, will be on the same basis as are all other schools in the county. The County School Commissioners are doing all in their power to build up the schools in the county, and are doing all their work without any compensation, whatever.
