The Georgia Enterprise January 3, 1873
A word of thanks I have for you, my friends,
For the Christmas trade you brought me,
And may the gentle smile that fortune sends
Play around your heart and home in glee.

Though the Holidays are past, remember  yet,
Within my Store a thousand treasures lie,
And so long as life shall last, I’ll not forget,
You were my customers in days gone by.

Friend, sigh not, though thy path be cold
And shadows across thy life be large,
My Goods are cheap I know and will be sold,
For high prices I cannot, will not charge.

True, we are but travelers to the grave,
And each a separate road must tread.
But if an extra dollar you wish to save,
To my Fancy Store you should be led.

Friends, my thanks again I offer now to you,
And hope each and every hour to see
Those whose accounts have long been due,
Call around and settle, settle up with me.
