E. Cobb, is visiting her mother at Brunswick. ~Richard L. Simms has some valuable real estate for sale. ~President McLaughlin spent a few days of last week with friends and loved ones in Talbot County. ~Mr. Henry King, an old Covington boy, is prospering in the mercantile business at Union Point. ~Major J. M. Pace, visited McDonough on professional business one day last week. ~Mr. Albert Peek makes a most accommodating driver on the Oxford end of our street car line. ~Our editor spent a few days last week very pleasantly with dear ones in Oglethorpe County. ~Mr. T. P. Launius, of Midway, spent several days of last week with friends at High Shoals. ~Col. J. S. Rogers has several of the finest setter pups to be found in the county. ~Mrs. Thomas J. Shields and son are visiting friends and dear ones in Oglethorpe County. ~Messrs. Usher Thomason and John T. Taylor, both of Madison, spent Sunday here. ~Rev. R. J. Bigham couldn’t get down to see us last week, but will be here for a few days the latter part of November, providence permitting. ~Dr. H. V. Hardwick has one of the handsomest new residences in the county at Almon, four miles from town. ~Judge Stewart and Elector Gray will make speeches here next Saturday at 10 o’clock in the morning.
