Peek, Jr., makes a most efficient bailiff. ~Misses Julia and Irene Everitt have returned from a pleasant visit to friends in Conyers. ~Col. Womack has one of the finest and best trained bird dogs in the county. ~Sheriff H. B. Anderson generally proves himself equal in any emergency. ~Our old friend James F. Peek, killed a twelve months old pig the other day that weighed 420 pounds. Who can beat it? ~We were mistaken about the time for Rev. Mr. Bigham to preach at the Methodist Church. It will be next Sunday instead of last. ~Mrs. John B. Davis, has been in feeble health for sometime. We trust this good and useful lady will soon be in the best of health. ~Mr. A. L. King has bought the farm and water power belonging to Mr. H. H. Harvey and located on Yellow River. ~Mrs. J. F. M. Hutchins and Mrs. H. L. Horton have returned from a protracted but pleasant visit to relatives in Atlanta. ~Mrs. Jarboe, of Snapping Shoals, one of the best ladies in the land, is on a visit to friends and dear ones in Alabama. ~Mr. John H. Bailey, is turning out some fine boot and shoe work from his shop here. Success to John. He can’t hear or talk, but he gets there on good work.
