R. McCalla, of Rockdale County, have been on a visit here. ~Rev. L. H. Harris preached his farewell sermon at the Methodist Church her last Sunday. ~Rev. LaPrade will probably preach his first sermon at the Methodist Church next Sunday. ~Mr. W. W. Osborn will live at his old home on Alcova Street another year. ~Rev. C. C. Spencer will be stationed at Forestville, near Rome, next year. ~Mrs. Flowers, mother of Mr. J. C. Flowers, has returned to her home in Florida. ~Rev. J. M. Owens will have charge of the Methodist Church at Acworth next year. ~Col. A. D. Meadors has opened a law office in Anniston, Ala. Good luck to our friend. ~Prof. R. E. Cobb will spend the holidays in Brunswick and return here in January. ~Elder Wm. Adams has purchased the home and plantation of Capt. J. E. McConnell in Brick Store district. ~We would like to see a live, progressive young man like W. C. Clark Mayor of Covington. If not Mr. Clark, who then? ~Mr. W. B. Lee having bought Mr. J. J. Corley’s interest in the business of Lee, Corley & Co., the firm name will now be W. B. Lee & Co.
