B. Anderson is recovering from a serious spell of sickness. ~Master Robbie Stewart is recovering from a dangerous spell of pneumonia. ~Rev. R. J. Bigham and family moved from Edgewood to their new home in Augusta, Friday last. ~Mr. R. L. Cook, of Jersey, was shaking hands with friends here Saturday. ~Mr. Wm. Cook is well pleased with his elegant home at Sunup, in Brick Store district. ~Mr. Joseph H. Douglas is now engaged in business at Anniston, Ala. Good luck to our young friend. ~Mr. John T. Taylor has purchased Mr. P. W. Warren’s interest in the livery and sale stable business. ~Miss Maude Penn, of Monticello, has charge of the telegraph office at Gray, on the Covington & Macon railroad. ~Mrs. Butler, mother of Mrs. W. B. Lee and Mr. Geo. D. Butler, has been seriously ill at the residence of the former for several days past. ~Mrs. Stevens, nee Miss Julia Webb and children, of Stevens Pottery, are visiting friends and relatives in this county. ~Dr. J. B. Parks has moved from Cora, Newton County, to Ola, Henry County, where he will continue to practice medicine. ~Miss Genie Farmer, a fascinating young lady who has been visiting her sister here, returned to her home in Conyers the other day. ~Mr. George W. Hill has purchased the Henry Anderson plantation from Mr. George T. Carr, paying twelve dollars and fifty cents per acre for the same.
