T. J. Speer spent Sunday last with his family in Brick Store district. ~The Conyers Solid South would like to see Hon. L. F. Livingston the next Governor of Georgia. ~Mr. Samps Cohen was taken to his home in Madison last week. He is slowly improving from his wounds. ~Mr. R. T. Crawley, of Pike County, has moved back to his old home near Snapping Shoals. ~Mr. Robert L. Loyd is treating his new residence to a coat or two of paint. ~Mr. J. W. Roberts, of this city, is said to be one of the best farmers in Georgia. ~Miss Florence Childs, one of Newborn’s fairest daughters, has been on a visit here as the guest of Miss Janie Wright. ~Messrs. John Kelly, of Covington and John Thompson, of Rocky Plains, killed 38 partridges one day last week. ~Miss Genie Farmer, a charming young lady from Conyers, has been on a visit to our city as the guest of her sister, Mrs. James A. Farmer. ~Dr. Frank Pharr and his good wife, of Decatur, spent several days here recently as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Heard and Mrs. A. B. Simms.
