Norton will move to Lithonia sometime this winter. ~Miss Lizzie Peek, of Rockdale County, spent several days of last week visiting friends in Covington. ~Mr. Joseph Douglas, of Anniston, Ala., has been on a visit to friends and dear ones here. ~Rev. Mr. Rogers, of Atlanta, preached two fine sermons at the Presbyterian church here Sunday. ~Miss Annie Pace left Saturday on a visit to relatives in Birmingham, Alabama. ~Mr. L. W. Brown has a new lot of fine horses and mules must in from the best stock farms of the west. ~Miss Florrie Henderson, of the LaGrange Female College, spent a day or two of last week at her home here. ~Messrs. J. A. Farmer and G. T. Wells spent Sunday in Walton county, as the guests of Mr. Thos. Harris and family. ~Some papers are growling because Col. Livingston did not go to Macon, (when he had no invitations) and run the State Fair. ~Mrs. S. A. Brown will move to town soon and reside with her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Flowers, of the popular Flowers Hotel. ~Mrs. Mary E. Meadors, of Cedar Shoals district, is recovering from injuries received from a fall not long since. ~Mrs. Wilson Connor, one of the oldest ladies in our city, received painful injuries about the head by a fall Monday night. ~Mr. and Mrs. Edward Heard and children spent a few days recently in DeKalb county as the guests of Dr. and Mrs. Frank Pharr.
