Corley has made corn and hay “world without end” this year. ~Dr. C. C. Brooks has returned from a pleasant visit to friends in Birmingham. ~Hon. T. J. Speer had a splendid time during his visit to Savannah last week. ~Col. Norris Hale, one of the best editors in Georgia, has retired from the Henry County Times. ~Mr. I. W. Brown leaves for Kentucky Monday to purchase another lot of fine horses. ~Gene Lee has found his fine hounds that were lost. Advertising always does the work. ~Mr. R. L Callaway, of Oglethorpe County, spent a day or two recently with friends here. ~Mr. Hiram Lester, 120 years of age, who is probably the oldest man in the world, is an inmate of the Henry County poor house.
