F. Carr, of Conyers, has moved to Macon. ~Prof. Robert Guinn, of Salem Academy, spent Saturday in town. ~Mr. W. H. LaPrade and son, Willie, have been visiting friends and relatives in Atlanta this week. ~We learn that Mr. Wilkes M. Heard contemplates erecting a hand, some residence in our city soon. ~Mrs. Jarman, of this city, had a fine cow to die from eating corn Saturday last. ~Mr. Joe S. Nix, of Atlanta, has returned from Arkansas, and spent Saturday in our city. ~Messrs. J. P. Harris and J. A. Farmer have a lot of fine mules and horses for sale. ~Capt. G. M. Cunningham has about recovered from his severe cough and cold. ~Lightning struck and shivered a tree in the yard of Mr. B. F. Camp, of this city Sunday morning. ~”Our Lon” will be a candidate for Governor in 1890, just as sure as he lives, and he will enter the race with a large following. ~Mrs. Malcolm, of Knoxville, Tenn., nee Miss Carrie Whitlock, was on a visit here last week as the guest of Miss Annie Pace. ~Several newspapers in Georgia are getting nervous over the strength being developed by Col. Livingston for Governor. ~Mr. G. A. Letford, agent for the old reliable medicine men, H. E. Bucklen & Co., of Chicago , Ill., gave us a pleasant call Monday. ~Mr. James R. Brown, of Stansell’s district, was in to see us Saturday, and is in good health and continues in the full enjoyment of single blessedness. ~Prof. Matthews, of Point Peter, Oglethorpe County, was up to see our section of the state Saturday, as the guest of Prof. L.
