The Georgia Enterprise March 21, 1889
~Judge W. J. Terrell is up and about again.

~Mrs. Ab Gray, of Almon, has returned from a visit to Monticello.

~Mr. Robin Carrier and family have moved to Atlanta.

~Capt. J. P. Loyd spent Monday with friends in Atlanta.

~Woolfolk has obtained a new trial and a change of venue. He will be tried in 
Houston county in May.

~Bishop Key preached a fine sermon at the Methodist Church in Cuthbert Sunday 
last.

~Rev. Dr. Henry Quigg preached at the Presbyterian Church in Lexington Sunday 
last.

~Col. W. S. Upshaw spent a day or two recently with relatives and friends in 
Walton County.

~Sheriff Anderson is being kept busy this week with official business in and 
about the court house.

~Mr. J. H. Douglas, of Anniston, Ala, is on a business and social visit to our 
city.

~Miss Mamie Hardwick, of Almon, has been on a visit to Covington as the guest 
of Miss Eva Dearing.

~Mr. Homer Hardwick, of Almon, spent Thursday night and part of Friday at 
Thompson.

~Mrs. R. U. Thomason and children of Madison, spent last week visiting 
relatives in Covington.

~Messrs. W. D. Elliott and Mack Neal, Jr., will erect a new store house for Mr. 
George Swords at Rutledge at an early day.

~Rev. Dr. J. M. Brittain preached two excellent sermons at the Baptist church 
here Sunday last- morning and night.

~Messrs. Wallace and Wingard, who have been running a meat market at Rutledge, 
have returned to their home in Newton County.
