The Georgia Enterprise November 16, 1883
     JAMES H. CARROLL put on his long-tail wedding coat on Sunday last and went 
abroad in the land announcing that he was the happy father of a twelve pound 
boy. Let the title of “Colonel” be affixed to his name. Here’s a long life and 
an easy, prosperous time to both sire and son. To the fair madam it is 
necessary to say, in the way of a compliment, “ the hand that rocks the cradle 
is the hand that rules the world.”
