It was discovered by two fisherman, who noticed a dark object floating in the water. They endeavored to bring the bundle to the shore, but failed, and they employed a couple of men to go out and bring it to land. No one knew the features because of their discoloration, decomposition having already set in. The body was carried to Atlanta and identified by Capt. James Morrow, as that of Mr. FRANK C. ARMISTEAD, who came from Santa Anna, California, to visit relatives in Georgia. Mr. Armistead remained in Atlanta a short time under the care of physicians, his health being bad. Five weeks ago he left, saying he was going to seek employment, and the only article he carried from his room at that time was his new Colt revolver. All the circumstances tend to indicate that his death was a suicide, but nobody will perhaps ever know just how he died. We believe he was born in Newton County, and has many friends and loved ones in this section who mourn his sad and mysterious death and lament his loss. He was a fine specimen of manhood generous, kind and true. Aged about 35 years. His remains were buried in the family cemetery, near Alcova Station, five miles below Covington, on Monday last.
