The Enterprise September 6, 1907
     The resignation of William Lauder Weber, for many years professor of 
English in Emory College, will be regretted by the friends, patrons and 
students of the college.
     Mr. Weber is one of the south’s most widely recognized etymologists. His 
word lists are used in many colleges in both south and north, while his 
compilations of the writings of the southern poets is recognized as the most 
representative of such compilations.
     Mr. Weber’s resignation will take effect at once. It is thought that he 
will accept the presidency of a college in the Mississippi valley.
