Mr. Weber is one of the south’s most widely recognized etymologists. His word lists are used in many colleges in both south and north, while his compilations of the writings of the southern poets is recognized as the most representative of such compilations. Mr. Weber’s resignation will take effect at once. It is thought that he will accept the presidency of a college in the Mississippi valley.
