Adams, died at her home near Dixie last Friday, after an illness of sometime. Mrs. Adams was 66 years of age at the time of her death. She had been a life member of Harris Springs Primitive Baptist Church, and was a devout Christian woman, loved and esteemed by all who knew her. Mrs. Adams was the mother of eight children, all of whom now reside in Newton County, and are among the prominent and leading citizens of the county. The funeral services were conducted by Elders J. T. Jordan and R. L. Cook and the remains laid to rest in the Adams burying ground, near Dixie, Saturday afternoon in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends.
