Aged about 54 years. He was a gallant Confederate soldier, a public-spirited citizen and a Christian gentleman. He leaves a family, friends and relatives to mourn his loss and lament his death. He was confined to his bed only a few days and the announcement of his death was a great shock to his many friends in this community. May he sleep sweetly.
