DEATH'S SAD ROLL
  Mr. Wood Barnette, aged about 18 years, was killed by the night train on the 
Middle Georgia & Atlantic railroad, at Eatonton, early Tuesday morning. He was 
a brakeman on the train and a very industrious and popular young man. He was a 
son of Mr. W. H. Barnette, of Covington. The sympathies of all our people are 
extended to the parents in their time of sorrow over the untimely and tragic 
death of their bright and promising son.
