His victim was WM. BARRY, who was born in Cork, Ireland, August 2, 1816, and left us on the morning of June 2,1869. He spent thirty-six years of his life in Covington. What has been his record. His quiet life is passed, his guileless heart is still; but we should remember his open, candid, genial nature, his generous emotions, faithfulness to friends, and his quick, ready response to suffering humanity wherever found. Who that has traveled the path that he trod, does not remember how truthful he was, how brave in any cause he believed right? Poverty was never an obstacle in the way of his charities; he gave freely, liberally, and without question. He stopped not to reason, but at once obeyed the generous impulse, which seemed never to desert him. One who has known him from his childhood, and traveled close by his side up to his death, bears this record of his life. W.W.C. Additional Comments: Typed exactly as printed in Newspaper.
