DEATH'S SAD ROLL
  Mr. John Norton was called by telegraph to Montgomery, Ala, on the 13th inst.,
to attend the funeral and burial service of his brother in law, Mr. James Polk
Berry, which sad event transpired the same morning. For a long while Mr. Berry
had been suffering with consumption and consequently his death was not entirely
unexpected. He was a noble man, generous, kind and true, and we drop a tear to 
his spotless memory, for we have known him long and loved him well.
