Aged about 22 years. He was a brother of Mrs. Thos. M. Berry, of Oxford, and a son of the late A. J. Blanton, Esq. Eddie Blanton was a noble youth and highly esteemed by all who knew him. He was a member of Prospect Methodist church, who loved his brethren and faithfully served his Lord. He leaves an aged mother, two brothers and three sisters, besides many relatives and friends to mourn his untimely death. His remains were laid to rest in the Prospect cemetery on Sunday on Sunday. Rev. Mr. Bradley, of Emory College conducted the funeral service and paid a beautiful and deserved tribute to the life and character of young Mr. Blanton.
