Death’s Sad Roll
     On March 2nd, 1897, Mr. Alex Bohannan departed this life at his home in 
Brewer’s district, Newton County, Ga. Aged about 70 years. He was a gallant 
soldier and a useful and popular citizen, highly esteemed by all who knew him. 
He was kind of heart and social in disposition, and will be sadly missed by his 
many relatives and friends.
