The Georgia Enterprise, June 27, 1884
     Master Bennie Bower, youngest son of Mr. G. M. T. Bower, died at his 
father's home, near town, on the night of the 19th. For many weeks past he had 
been confined to a bed of sickness. His suffering was great, but he bore it
with patience and fortitude, and was prepared to answer the summons when the 
Master called him to his eternal home far beyound this vale of tears, where 
pain and suffering are unknown. We mourn the death of our young friend, and 
deeply sympathize with the bereaved family who now sorrow for the loss of one 
whose presence always brought joy and sunshine to the home and heart. The power
that removed their treasure can alone soothe the stricken feelings and heal the 
heart-felt wound. May he sleep sweetly.
