Mrs. Brooks Dies
     Mrs. Catherine Brooks of Porterdale died at the residence of her son, C. 
H. Melton, at Porterdale at the age of 63, December 17. The funeral was held 
the following day at Liberty church. Rev. J. W. Halley officiating, assisted by 
Rev. J. N. Smith. Mrs. Brooks left the one son to mourn her loss. She was a 
woman of exceptional character and worth and is mourned by a large circle of 
friends.

of their mother, Mrs. Brooks.
