A. BROWN'S BODY FOUND THURSDAY Remains Being Brought to Covington for Funeral and Interment. The body of Mr. S. A. Brown, prominent Covington citizen was discovered on the South side of Stone Mountain Thursday morning. The remains are being brought to Covington this afternoon for funeral and interment, arrangements for which had not been completed as we go to press Thursday afternoon. The disappearance of S. A. Brown, aged about 60 years, prominent citizen of Covington and Newton County, on Friday, February the 4th, caused concern to his family and his friends here and throughout the county. Mr. Brown left Covington on the early accommodation train Friday morning for Atlanta. A letter mailed in Atlanta about noon addressed to Mrs. S. A. Brown was received about 6 o'clock, It said: "Dear wife; You will find me at Stone Mountain, It is more than I can bear, God bless you and the children. (Signed) S. A. Brown." Many prominent citizens from Covington formed a searching party and were joined at Stone Mountain by officers and others, who made a careful search over and around the mountain, but failed to locate Mr. Brown or his body. Mr. Brown is very frail, due to a serious automobile accident several months ago, from which he never has recovered. He has a wife, three sons and two daughters. Every effort had been made to locate Mr. Brown without results until this morning. He has been through serious financial reverses and it is supposed that his mind has been affected.
