MR. W. G. BURNEY PASSED AWAY TUESDAY
  Following an illness of several months, Mr. W. G. Burney passed away
at his home here Tuesday night.
Although every one knew Mr. Burney was ill, his death came as a shock.
He was one of Eudoras most prominent citizens. The funeral services were
conducted from Prospect Methodist Church, Wednesday afternoon, at two-thirty
o'clock by the pastor, J. B. Gresham, of Shady Dale.
  Surviving Mr. Burney are several brothers, one sister, two children, Mr.
Hollis Burney of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Lucille Benton.
