The Georgia Enterprise, July 13, 1883
     The many warm friends and former associates of Clarence H. Carr will be 
pained to learn that he died unexpectedly of billious fever in Rome on Friday
last. His remains were brought to Covington for interment Saturday. He was a 
son of Capt. Nathan C. Carr and Nephew of Mr. George T. Carr. He was 19 years 
of age at the time of his death and was employed by the Singer Sewing Machine
Company.
