The Georgia Enterprise, September 25, 1890
      Mrs. E. A. Chaplin, sister of Mrs. Thomas Weaver, died at her home in 
Covington last Monday night. For months she had been in feeble health but her 
death was unexpected and sudden, for , after eating supper and engaging in 
cheerful conversation she was assisted to her bed, where she at once calmly and 
gently fell on sleep to awake no more in this world. She was a noble Christian 
lady, gentle, kind and charitable. Aged about 60 years. Her remains were 
carried to Savannah Tuesday for interment.
