J. Christian Prominent Covington Woman, Dies Suddenly Mrs. T. J. Christian, wife of Rev. T. J. Christian, Methodist minister, died suddenly at 3:20 o'clock Sunday afternoon without any warning. She enjoyed her dinner and was sitting in her husbands study when the end came. Mr. and Mrs. Christian had been married 38 years and Mrs. Christian was 58 years of age. She was reared in Atlanta, the daughter of a local Methodist minister, Rev. W. D. Paine. The funeral was conducted at the Methodist church by Rev. J. Lee Allgood, assisted by Dr. Dempsey. Dr. Erwin Monroe. Rev. C. A. Hall, Social Circle and Rev. Walker Combs and Rev. A. G. Cantrell, Oxford, were present. She was one of the best known and loved women in Covington. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Tom Swift, Jr., and Mrs. C. C. Owens, both of Elberton; one son, P. W. Christian of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. L. P. Rosser, of Atlanta and Mrs. A.
