  Mr. P. F. Christian died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. S. Ramsey, in
Stansell's district, on Thursday last, Oct. 24th. Aged about 72 years. On Friday
he was buried in Rockdale cemetery, at Conyers. Rev. Mr. Quillian, pastor of
the Methodist church, assisted by  Rev. Doctor Henry Quigg, conducted the 
funeral services. No better or purer man ever lived or died than was Mr. 
Christian. He was a Christian gentleman, in the highest sense of that magic
word, and his life was devoted to the happiness of those around him. He leaves
many friends and loved ones to cherish his precious memory. For many long years
he was a loyal and faithful member of the Methodist church.
