The Covington News January 17, 1974
  Funeral services for William H. Clay of Porterdale were conducted on Monday 
afternoon, January 14, at Cove Baptist Church, at Manchester with J. C. Harwell 
and Son Funeral Home in charge.
  Mr. Clay, a native of Merriweather County, passed away in a private hospital 
on January 12, following a lingering illness.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. William H. Clay, Porterdale, two sons, William 
John Clay, Bobby Clay, both of Cumming, sisters, Mrs. Irene C. Fuller, 
Porterdale; Mrs. Mattie B. Fuller, Warm Springs, Mrs. Mary E. Coe, Monroe; Mrs. 
Josie Daniel, Lanett, Alabama, and nieces and nephews.
