DEATH'S SAD ROLL
  Mr. Luther A. Cook, departed this life at his home in Hays district, on 
Tuesday night, Jan. 12th. Aged about 45 years. He had been in feeble health
for some time and bore his afflictions patiently and without complaint. He was 
an honorable and industrious man, who was held in high esteem by all who knew
him. He leaves a wife and child and many relatives and friends to mourn his 
departure. His body was laid to rest in the family section of the Starrsville
cemetery Thursday morning.
