H. Cowan Killed In felling a tree on his farm at Richardsonville, Mr. R. H. Cowan, age 70 years a prominent citizen of the community was killed by the falling of a tree as it slipped from the branch of another tree. Mr. Cowan leaves seven children, six girls, Miss Claude, Mrs. W. H. Corry, of Richardsonville, Mrs. L. E. Sullivan of Atlanta, Mrs. Frank Christian and Mrs. W. L Mote of Covington and Mrs. L. H. Craig of Henry County, one son, J. R. Cowan. Also twenty-nine grandchildren. Mr. Cowan was an Elder in the Bethany church and highly respected by all who knew him. Funeral Services were conducted at Bethany church, Friday afternoon, Dr. E. Wilson officiating. Interment following in Bethany cemetery. The sons in laws of the deceased acted as pallbearers.
