T. C. COWAN YIELDS IN FIGHT WITH DEATH Excellent and Beloved Covington Citizen Died Wednesday Afternoon. Stricken with Paralysis Monday. Mr. Thomas C. Cowan died at his home in Covington Wednesday afternoon of last week at one o'clock. He had been stricken on the preceding Monday and little hope for his recovery _____ _____ . Mr. Cowan was 64 years of age. He was a genuine man in the very noblest sense of the word. In character upright to even the finest degree, in personality, his manner possessed a rare charm which made friends of all who made acquaintances with him. Christian to the core, he lived the gentle and noble christian traits in his daily walk, so that men might have their idea of the Christ, exalted by observing his life. Many friends do genuinely mourn him and will miss him from among us. The funeral and interment were at Hopewell Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. J. B. Ficklen conducted the services. Mr. Cowan is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Fletcher Hill and Miss Eva Cowan; one sister, Mrs. H. H.
