DEATH'S SAD ROLL
     Mr. R. M. Cowan died quite suddenly in Milledgeville, on Sunday last Jan. 
31st, where he went for treatment sometime ago. Aged about 78 years. Mr. Cowan 
was a most pleasant gentleman, who made friends all along the journey of life. 
He was held in high regard by all who knew him. He was a useful man and was 
kind and benevolent to everybody. His remains were brought to his home in Cedar 
Shoals district and laid to rest in the family section of the cemetery at 
Hopewell church on Monday. He leaves many kindred and dear friends to mourn his 
death and to cherish his memory.
