The Covington News, October  22, 1926 
Col. Cox Dead
     Col. Robert Lee Cox, of Monroe, was buried from the First Methodist church 
of that city last Saturday morning. Col. Cox was a brother-in-law of Dr. Luke 
Robinson, of Covington, and probably the most popular citizen of Monroe. He was 
a faithful member of the Methodist Church, a  Kiwanian and a Mason, being 
Senior Grand Warden of Georgia at the time of his death. He was a prominent 
lawyer of the Walton County bar.
