MRS. HEWLETT DAVIES BURIED AT PORTERDALE CHURCH
  Mrs. Hewlett Davies, of Knoxville, Tenn., was buried in the Porterdale
cemetery, yesterday. Rev. Jas. Haley, officiating the obsequies?.
  Mrs. Davies was the daughter of Mr. J. B. Elliott, formerly of Covington,
now living at Griffen and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Zack Patterson, of Porterdale.
  She is survived by her husband, Mr. A. T. Davies of Knoxville, four
sisters, Mrs. Irene Turner, of Griffen, Mrs. Ethel Patterson, of Porterdale,
Mrs. Alma Scott, of Atlanta, and Mrs. Annabelle King, also of Atlanta and 
her father, Mr. J. B. Elliott, of Griffen.
  She was a consistent member of the Baptist church, an exemplary Christian
lady, a loving wife and daughter and a true and loyal friend.
