DEATH'S SAD ROLL
  Mrs. S. E. Davis, the beloved wife of Rev. S. P. Davis, died at their home in
Rocky Plains district, on Thursday, June 11th. Aged about ?8 years. She was a
consistent member of the Reformed Presbyterian church and one of the best and
noblest ladies in the county. She leaves many friends and dear ones to cherish
her precious memory. She was the mother of Messrs. M. H. and M. C. Davis, of 
Newton County, and Mr. E. O. Davis of Walton county. Her body was laid to 
rest in Hopewell cemetery on Friday.
