Mrs. Jno. R. Davis is Dead.
     MRS. MARTHA DAVIS, wife of Mr. John R. Davis, of Covington, departed this 
life on Monday night last. Aged about 55 years. She was one of the best ladies 
we ever knew, her life being spent in toiling to make others happy. She was a 
consistent and faithful member of the Primitive Baptist Church, and had no fear 
of death, but calmly and resignedly answered her Father’s summons when it came. 
Peace to her memory and rest to her soul. The sympathy of our town and county 
is with the aged husband whose home is made desolate on account of the death of 
his good wife.
