R. M. DIAL BURIED AT OXFORD SUNDAY AFTERNOON Former chief of police at Oxford, Mr.R. M. Dial, died at his home in Oxford early Saturday morning, after a short illness of pneumonia. Mr. Dial served many years as chief of police of Oxford, and was very ?????? with Emory College. ? He leaves a wife and two children, Mrs. C. A. Maxwell of Forum, VA., and a son Jack, a student of Emory Academy, also a sister, Mrs. G. A. Garritt, of Monroe, and two brothers, G. L. Dial and a twin brother, R. D. Dial, of Oxford. Interment was in the Oxford Cemetery on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, after a funeral service at the home conducted by Rev. W. R. Branham and Dr. W. H. LaPrade.
